June 9 – A classic look.
There’s an axiom of photography that states that for a compelling photo a subject should be looking at you and the focus be on their eyes and expression. Well, continuing with the theme of a “look” from last post, I’d say that my man Brent West did me a real solid with this one.
The backstory: it was a relatively close game and Brent had already been hit during an earlier at bat; the pitcher was throwing junk, and let loose with a slow, but high, inside pitch that the umpire called a strike; Brent just stared away, not moving, with a look of … – well, you can fill in the blank here.
