Daily sports photo #193

October 2 – A wonderful day in the neighborhood, won’t you be my neighbor?

Good morning girls and boys. Do you know that many of the words that we use in sports have other meanings? Sure, I knew you did.

Like the word PITCH in baseball: throw (the ball) for the batter to try to hit. Well, pitch can also mean “the degree of highness or lowness of a tone” in music, or there’s the pitch of a roof, and of course, grownups talk about sales pitch.

Do you know any other meanings for the word pitch? Now isn’t this fun?

Today’s sales pitch is for you to subscribe to this blog.

Until next post, be safe, and as Mr. Rodgers said “Often when you think you’re at the end of something, you’re at the beginning of something else.”

Please subscribe to the blog if you’d like to continue with me on my march down memory lane and get an entertaining sports story each day. Also, please comment and let’s get some conversations going.
