March 4: Recognizing a local unsung hero.
Although I wasn’t at a game, I was fortunate to be out shooting. It was an honor to take some environmental photos today of Debbie Dutton, (RN, BSN, NCSN, Clinical and Community Services Nursing Director for Dare County, NC). Debbie is being recognized for her contributions to the critical work in our area’s COVID-19 response. The photos are for the local paper, the Outer Banks Voice, as they honor her as the first recipient of the “Unsung Hero” award.
I enjoyed the shoot but it was certainly a challenge to move quickly (they are very busy) and safely – yes, masks and all.
I’m posting this photo for several reasons. First, because it’s a good story and who doesn’t need a good story these days. Also, there are many unsung heroes in sports usually you can find them in every game. Lastly, I’m sure that you’re tired of looking at my friend Wright’s mug.
Take some time to reflect on people you know that are truly unsung heroes.
Until next post be safe, be kind, and go be a hero. And yes, you can sing or be sung rather than unsung.
