Daily sports photo #293

March 19: OK maestro, strike up the William Tell Overture if you will.

When nasty, nasty weather is predicted and you know that all local sporting events will be canceled what’d ya do if you’re itching to shoot sports? You create sports portraits in a safe studio.

My good friend Jimmy who is an avid archer agreed to my ideas of a shoot. My friend and colleague Wright Emory assisted at all levels. Jimmy was very patient as Wright and I worked to get the lighting the way I wanted it. It was great being able to create shots in my studio that I visualized in my head. Here are just a few.

I’d like to shoot an archery competition one day. But after looking at the tip of an arrow I will do so from a long distance.

What’d think?

Until next post be safe, be kind, and be creative and create.

My vote is for #1. You see the archer’s face and his intensity.
Other two are too dangerous…Hope he has a tight grip!
