2021 NCBA WS Longball Challenge

Daily sports photo #331

May 31: It’s nonstop action at the NCBA WS.

After 4 games on day 1 and 4 games on day 2, there was “only” two games yesterday. We’re down to 4 teams. The semi-final games are tonight. Were two games the only action yesterday? No way, there was the Marucci Longball Challenge – always a fan, and team, favorite.

Matt Miller from North Dakota (above) won the challenge. With the name Miller you knew that he had to be a stud. Matt received a “sick” special-engraved bat from Marucci as his prize along with bragging rights and a shower from his teammates.

You can check out the current bracket at: NCBA_WS_bracket.

There was a roost3er in the house.

Also, when I get back exhausted each night to where I’m staying, I listen to the broadcast of the games by Ryan Norris. Ryan is one of the best announcers around and calls the games old-school. I just listen as I did when I was a kid. When Ryan’s descriptions I know what’s happening, I can “see” the game in my mind. It’s one of my favorite things about the NCBA WS. I strongly encourage you to check it out: NCBA_broadcasts.

Until next post, be kind, be safe and go for the fences.
